Barbie… but make her a former Kindergarten teach Barbie… but make her a former Kindergarten teacher turned resource creator!

Swipe to meet my AI alter ego (actually 6 of them… because my husband has the paid ChatGPT and I may have gone a little overboard with the prompts 🤣)—and then the real me: a former classroom teacher who now creates hands-on, play-based centres to make your life easier.

Hi! I’m Yukari. After 7 years in the classroom wrangling 25+ little learners, I now create resources full-time (or part-time? Being a mom to a 4- and 7-year-old feels like the actual full-time job most days 😅). My mission? To help YOU feel less stressed and more inspired.

If you’re into:
• Engaging literacy + math centres
• Ontario Kindergarten-aligned lessons
• Freebies + teacher tips…

Then you’re in the right place!

And just for fun—here are 5 random facts about me:

1. As you probably guessed from the Barbies… I’m a coffee girl. Two cups a day, LOADED with French vanilla creamer—yes, people gasp when they see me pour it 🙈

2. I just started reading for fun again after nearly 10 years! I used to love The Hunger Games and The Fault in Our Stars. Right now I’m finishing Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros. I would love to hear your recs!

3. My husband lovingly calls me a “basic b*tch” (and he’s not wrong). Aritzia Super Puff? Check. Short UGGs? Check. Lululemon Aligns? Always. What’s your go-to closet staple?

4. I hate making phone calls. If it’s an unknown number? Straight to voicemail. If I can do it by text or online—I will. Every time.

5. One mindset shift that saved my sanity when I was struggling with motherhood: “I get to.”

My work isn’t falling apart when my kids are home sick—I get to be there when they need me most.

When they’re having big feelings or not exactly polite in public, I get to remind myself they’re not mini reflections of me—they’re just little humans figuring things out. I get to guide them through it, one meltdown at a time.

It’s not always easy, but this phrase helps me keep my cool instead of losing it. Most days.

⸻

Now it’s your turn—drop a fun fact about you in the comments! Or tell me: What book should I read next?

Over 100 FREE Kindergarten resources?! Yup, really Over 100 FREE Kindergarten resources?! Yup, really!

My biggest struggle during my first few years of teaching was searching for and creating resources for my lessons and centres every week! And now… I share a lot of what I’ve made on my blog for FREE!

I planned and created for thousands of hours (and continue to do so) so YOU can do less planning and more teaching (AND spend more time with the people you love🤍)

Sound good? Then head over to my blog where you can find 100+ hands-on, play-based printables to save you time, boost engagement, and make your Kinder day a little smoother.
