Did you notice my new blog design?
I am IN LOVE!
Let’s forget the other design ever existed ok? lol
This one was designed by the awesome Tenille from Designs by Tenille.
If you are in the market for a new design I highly recommend her!
She was so easy to work with!

Now I just hope I get to stay in Kinder again next year!!

On Tuesday night we got to go to the season ticket holder gala for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Raptors! My boyfriend’s dad is a season ticket holder and he is away on a trip so we got to go 🙂 It was at the Royal Ontario Museum and they had the best food catered! I was running around trying to get seconds of everything! haha
We didn’t realize that we were allowed in the exhibits upstairs until the last half hour! We got to walk around and see some dinosaur skeletons! It was pretty cool! We’re planning to go back just to check out the museum in the spring or summer 🙂

Did you shop the sale on Wednesday and Thursday?
I wasn’t going to buy anything except stocking up on some KG font licences…
but of course I caved and bought some clipart!
Here is what I got!

Click on the images to see them in TpT!
It was Kindness Week at our school to coincide with Pink Shirt Day.
The anti-bullying theme worked perfectly with our close read on “Howay for Wodney Wat”.
We watched this video by The NED Show on YouTube to learn how to be an upstander.
And students wrote about how other classmates were kind to them during the day.
It is hard to see but on the paper it says:
Name: _____________
_____________ was kind to me.
She/He _____________________________.
The kids LOVED writing about their friend’s kind deeds!
And because I always like including a freebie for “Five for Friday” here is a response sheet I made up to go with “Snowmen at Night” by Caralyn Buehner.

Are you getting snow where you live?
With temperatures consistently in the -20’s I don’t think our snow is going to melt for a while!!
This is a super fun book for these cold winter days!
I always love the creative answers we get to this question after reading this book!

Click here or on the image below to download the writing paper for free! A page without the sentence starter and an extra page with just lines are included as well so you can differentiate for your kids 😉

I used this in conjunction with the “Snowmen at Night” close read from Guiding Readers January by Deanna Jump and Deedee Wills.

I LOVE their close read plans and bought February (Howay for Wodney Wat is in February!) and March as well!
You can click on the cover below to check it out in TpT 🙂

That’s it!
Hope you had a great week!
