Literacy Activities:

Build the Letters
Watch the animated demonstration to see how each letter is formed. Then use the movable pictures to build the letter while practising the simple sentence on the slide.
Letters included: T, S, M, P and C

Pumpkin Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Match
Match each uppercase letter to the pumpkin displaying its corresponding lowercase letter.

Rhyming Pumpkins
Name the picture on the left side of the pumpkin. Then find and move the picture that rhymes with it to the other side.
Includes 6 slides.

Thanksgiving Beginning Sounds
Name each Thanksgiving picture, identify its beginning sound and move the correct letter tile into place.
Includes 9 words.

Pumpkin Pie High-Frequency Words
Read the word in the box. Then use the movable pumpkin pies to build and spell the word on the table.
Words included: a, I, like, the, see, can and this

Fall Label It
Move the words to label the different parts of each fall-themed picture.
Includes 3 scenes: an apple, a pumpkin and a bakery display case.

 

Math Activities:

Build a Thanksgiving Plate
Read the number and move that many pieces of Thanksgiving food onto or beside the plate.
Includes 10 slides for numbers 1–10.

Counting Turkey Feathers
Count the feathers on each turkey. Then move the circle onto the correct number.
Includes 10 slides.

Decorate an Apron with Shapes
Use the movable shapes to decorate the apron. Then count the number of each shape used and type the totals into the corresponding boxes.
Two shape sets are included:

• Circle, triangle, square and rectangle
• Heart, star, oval and hexagon

Fall Sorting Activities

Sort the fall pictures according to:

• Colour: red or brown
• Size: small or big

Important Technology Information:

• When assigning the activities through Google Classroom, select the option to make a copy for each student.
• Students working on an iPad or tablet should have the Google Slides app installed. Movable pieces may not work correctly in a mobile browser.
• Use the slides in Edit mode, not Present mode, so students can manipulate the movable pieces.
• PowerPoint functionality can vary depending on the device and version of PowerPoint being used.
