These are Google Slides you can assign in Google Classrooms or share your screen and use it during your whole group synchronous learning time (e.g. Google Meet/Zoom). You can also download it as a PowerPoint file and use it on your SMARTBoard!
Some tips:
- If you are using this as an assignment in Google Classroom, make sure your students have the Google Slides app if they are working on an iPad/tablet. (They won’t be able to manipulate the movable pieces otherwise).
- Make sure you use these slides in EDIT mode and not present mode, so the moveable pieces work

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Christmas Letters (Literacy) – Watch the gif to learn how to form the letter, then use the Christmas pictures to build the letter. Students can also practice reading the simple sentences. Letters included are S, P, C, L and T.
Christmas Beginning Sounds (Literacy) – Say what the picture is, hear and identify the beginning sound and move the letter tiles to the correct spots. 3 slides and 9 words included. (2 version for the second slide with missing letter for just the first letter of the first word and first letter of both words – i.e. __andy cane and __andy __ane).
Sight Word Stockings (Literacy) – Read the sight word in the box and build the sight word with the stockings on the mantle. Sight words included are: a, I, the, like, see, can, this, is, we, to, my, me, be, with.
How Many? (Math) – Count the Christmas pictures and drag the correct number to each box. Numbers 1-6 on the first slide and numbers 7-10 on the second slide.
Ornament Counting (Math) – Read the number on the star and put that many ornaments on the tree. Trees with numbers 1-6 on one slide and 7-10 on individual slides. (5 slides total)
What’s Missing? (Math) – What number is missing? Click and drag stocking with the missing number to the box. (6 slides)
Decorate a Gingerbread House (Math) – Click and drag the shapes to decorate a gingerbread house! Count and record how many of each shape you used by typing the number into each box. The first slide has circle, triangle, square and rectangle and the second slide has hexagon, star, diamond and oval.
Sorting Slides (Math) – Sort the Christmas pictures by colour (red/green), shape (circle/not circle) and size (small/big).
Christmas Patterns (Math) – Look at the patterns and complete the patterns by dragging the Christmas pictures to the line. AB, ABB, AAB, ABC and ABCD patterns included.
Make Your Own Pattern (Math) – Use the Christmas pictures to make your own pattern! 5 slides included (each with a different set of pictures to use).
Measure the Christmas Images (Math) – Measure each Christmas picture with the digital manipulative on the page and record how tall/long it is in the box at the bottom to complete the sentence.
- Measure the gingerbread house with peppermint candies.
- Measure the Christmas tree with ornaments.
- Measure the sled with reindeer.
Christmas Symmetry (Math) – Click and drag the pictures at the bottom of the page to make a symmetrical picture.
