Community Helpers Centres for Kindergarten | Literacy, Math & Fine Motor

Bring your Community Helpers inquiry to life with 14 hands-on kindergarten literacy, math, fine motor, STEM and dramatic-play centres!

Students can pretend to be firefighters, police officers, mail carriers, dentists, bakers and construction workers while practising early learning skills through meaningful, play-based activities.

These Community Helpers centres are designed to encourage independent participation and are easy to incorporate into your literacy centres, math centres, fine motor activities, morning tubs, small groups or Community Helpers inquiry.

This resource also connects to Ontario Kindergarten Program expectations 28.1 and 28.2 by helping students recognize people and places in their community and understand what they do.
