How to use:

1. Print, cut and laminate the play dough mats.
2. Students identify the picture and say the corresponding CVC word.
3. They stretch out the word and listen for its three sounds.
4. Students roll three small play dough balls and place one in each sound circle.
5. They press letter stamps or cutters into the play dough to encode the word.
6. Students use the included answer key to check their work.

Select the fully blank mats for students ready to encode all three sounds. Use the vowel-supported mats for students focusing on beginning and ending sounds.
