Make learning festive and engaging with these digital Halloween activities for Kindergarten! This collection of interactive Google Slides math and literacy activities gives students hands-on practice with letter formation, beginning sounds, high-frequency words, counting, 2D shapes, sorting and patterns.

LITERACY ACTIVITIES
Build the Halloween Letters
Watch the animated demonstration to see how each letter is formed. Then use the movable Halloween pictures to build the letter while practising the simple sentence on the slide.
- Letters included: C, J, B, S and W
Halloween Beginning Sounds
Name each Halloween picture, identify its beginning sound and move the correct letter tile into place.
Includes 2 slides and 6 words.
Spooky High-Frequency Words
Read the word in the box. Then use the movable ghosts to build and spell the word in the sky.
Words included: a, I, the, like, see, can, this and is
MATH ACTIVITIES
Candy Counting
Read the number on each bucket and move the corresponding number of candies into it. Students practise number recognition, counting and one-to-one correspondence with numbers 1–10.
Numbers 1–6 appear together on one slide. Numbers 7–10 are presented on individual slides with larger buckets.
Make a Jack-o’-Lantern with 2D Shapes
Use circles, triangles and squares to create a face on the pumpkin. Then count the number of each shape used and type the totals into the boxes.
Two versions are included: one with a mouth and one without.
Sort the Candy
Sort the movable candies into the buckets. Then select the sorting rule used.
Includes 2 slides.
Halloween Patterns
Identify and extend each pattern by moving the correct Halloween picture into place.
Pattern types included: AB, ABB, AAB and ABC
Important Technology Information:
- When assigning the activities through Google Classroom, select the option to make a copy for each student.
- Students working on an iPad or tablet should have the Google Slides app installed. Movable pieces may not work correctly in a mobile browser.
- Use the slides in Edit mode, not Present mode, so students can manipulate the movable pieces.
- PowerPoint functionality can vary depending on the device and version of PowerPoint being used.
