Subitizing was previously included in Misc. Math but with the curriculum changes I’ve had to break the 4 units into individual units. Subitizing and Estimating are still in the expectations. Ordinal numbers is mentioned in an example of an expectation. Skip counting has been moved to the enrichment/extension category as it is no longer explicitly in the expectations.

What changed in patterns & relationships
The core patterning expectations are the same: identify, describe, create, extend and represent repeating patterns, including the core. What changed is the clarity of the language.
Overall, the content change is minimal. The expectations are more explicit, but the mathematical thinking is the same as before.

What changed in data literacy & probability
The cycle of sorting, collecting, displaying and interpreting data stays the same, with clearer organization.
Overall, the strand is streamlined but conceptually the same as the 2016 expectations.
